How beautiful are these two?? Sunset Ranch is definitely one of my favorite locations to shoot at. The lighting is gorgeous, the view is epic and it provides a rustic feel, which I adore! I love the way the barn was decorated and I probably spent at least 1 hour just capturing the details. Thanks Pinky for having me!

Nathalee contacted me a year before her wedding and we actually kept in touch throughout the entire process because we all had one thing in common–we both loved the 49ers. Even during their wedding day, both Nathalee and Raymond both couldn’t stop talking about the 9ers during the big day (unfortunately, we couldn’t pull it off this year, but hopefully next). Anyways, I’m so glad I got to meet two amazing people who both come from even better families in San Francisco. It’s always nice to have things in common with your clients and to keep in touch and remain friends. I had a blast capturing their special day and as usual, it’s always so nice to see two people so in love with one another! Wishing you both a lifetime full of happiness!
I fell in love with small, destination weddings after Rachel + KC’s wedding because of the intimacy. It was a beautiful ceremony + reception at the gorgeous Halekulani in Waikiki and everyone just knew each other. I also fell in love with Rachel’s Christian Louboutin’s and you can even ask her that I spent a good 30 minutes just photographing her shoes. Then they brought over KC’s wedding shoes, and wow! Anyways, I had a blast spending the day with these two and with their family and friends as well. Thank you for having me!
I shot Cindy + Oliver’s engagement photos a few months before their wedding as they visited Oahu to take care of wedding stuff. We kept in contact during the time and as they unraveled details about their big day, I was overjoyed that they selected me to capture their day. Everything was just beautiful and perfect. I loved everything about their wedding–her dress, his suit, tie, shoes, centerpieces, flowers..you get the picture. But what I loved the most about their wedding was the love and intimacy these two have for each other and the support they receive from those around them. When Emmie contacted me for her small, intimate wedding, I was a bit nervous because of the idea of a sunrise wedding. I was uncertain of the lighting situation, especially since I love to use as much natural light as possible and I had to wake up earlier than normal. I probably didn’t sleep the night before because of the fear of missing a wedding! I arrived at Lanikai and it was pitch black and kept thinking how am I going to get shots done of the first look. As the morning progressed, the sunrise was just gorgeous and the colors were amazing. Throw in the fact that this is a beautiful couple and it just made my job a little easier. We last saw Jen + Loren with a classic car at their engagement session. A few months later, they tied the knot at Paradise Cove. I remember their wedding as one filled with people who genuinely love and care about these two. Oh yeah, their emcee made me laugh so much that it was difficult taking photos.
kelli + derek was actually the first couple that booked me for a wedding for the 2012 season and I’m so blessed they did. I basically knew them through my wife but got to really know them at our engagement session and throughout the year as we exchanged emails/texts/phone calls about their big day. The day was full of emotion on both ends and I’m so glad I got to witness best friends tie the knot.

I was actually really nervous to shoot this wedding because Pinky had asked me to second shoot for her. I’ve never really second shot for anyone before so it was quite different taking a step back, but I must say that I did learn a lot. It’s also nice not having the pressure all on your shoulders and it was nice to come hone and not worry about editing.
I had the absolute honor of spending a few hours with Dana, Alex and their loved ones on a breezy Hawaiian summer afternoon. And it was actually the first time that I actually captured the first look. Brides, if you are thinking about this, I highly encourage it! Anyways, I discovered after the wedding that these two love birds love to jump out of planes, which was displayed on their cake topper. You could read more about that on The Wedding Cafe. The wedding was simple, yet beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding party and be sure to check out the bridesmaids photos–probably one of the best bridal portraits, ever. I just wish I was able to stay for the reception because I know it was probably epic!
